I’m an independent photojournalist based in Washington, D.C., focused on documenting the exercise and protection of First Amendment rights in public life. From protests and grassroots organizing to mutual aid, public forums, and street medic networks, I cover how people assemble, speak out, and build community. This work includes embedding with grassroots organizations and movements to provide independent, accurate coverage of their goals, activities, and organizers. I also report on local and national politics in D.C., including interviews with political candidates and coverage of members of Congress.

My work is grounded in field reporting and photography, and I publish regularly on Substack, Instagram, and Bluesky. I also collaborate with both independent and established news outlets that are committed to accurate and ethical coverage. While I work independently, I value partnerships that uphold the integrity of the stories I document.

I want the people and movements I cover to be seen clearly and honestly—without distortion, sensationalism, or erasure. I want my work to serve as both documentation and context: a resource for future understanding and a signal that someone is watching, listening, and telling the story with care. Most of all, I want my presence to capture the voices and stories of those I cover, not overshadow them.
